What the heck is a Godhead?

i was listening to the radio, a religous show.. the speaker started talking about how the holy spirit is the third person of the godhead.. they just assume that everyone understands what a godhead is, and it is a manmade term.

that is what makes their point of view so ridiculous.. is it like a godfoot, godear, god elbow?.

they have their scriptures to link the holy spirit with the trinity, and jws have their scriptures to unlink it, and never they two shall meet.. .

I'm with Oubliette on this one. You don't owe them a thing, much less an explanation. They want you to hang yourself with your justification or your pain, and that plays right in to them being able to keep their "in group" in. Just as sinister as Scientology's "What are your crimes?"

Don't give in. Don't ever give in to their demands.

The best thing you can do is walk away and live a good life unencumbered by their lies.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. One would think you could welcome the JC and expose Snake for what he is to the other elders. Unfortunately, they already know, and Snake has the backing and endorsement of the CO. I'm not sure he's being removed from congregations because of outcry...he may only be transferred to other congregations when his dirty work for the CO is done. I wonder if the light bulb will come on over Sparky's head?

i have really come to realize, the dress code these days is really really interesting.

young women at wearing their shorts, to the limit of hieght.

sandles are basically high heal shoes, with a strap to make it look like sandles.

I'm the father of two teenaged girls. At least in my area, girls dress no more or less provocatively today than they did 20 or 30 years ago.

My daughters dress nicely and fairly conservatively, but that's not because of scary invisible sky wizards, that's because (hopefully, anyway) I've instilled in them a sense of healthy self-respect.

In short, I'm not really sure what OP is talking about. I know when I was 'in' I heard all the propaganda that the world is in decline and violence, lasciviousness and such is steadily escalating...but I've never seen an ounce of proof that this is the case. Median age for premarital sex has been rising slightly in the United States:

good morning and sorry this is so late being posted, it's been a busy week and this is the first chance to post.. our home phone, which only a few people know and have, has been ringing constantly for the last two weeks, and my hubby and i have been ignoring it.

my parents and the elders are the only ones that have our home phone number and my parents have been just calling my cell because they know we won't answer the house phone...anyways this has been going on for several weeks.. on saturday i get a call from my dad asking me how the asl cong works with recruiting people for their hall...i was really confused because my parents live 90 miles from the asl cong and the people in that hall are too lazy to drive that far.

so i asked him to explain.. apparently some man called asking if there was anyone in the household who knew asl to help communicate with deaf....so i can't say everything about the conversation because i don't want to reveal details.
